The perfect pic to kick off the new series.
Now let’s get this thing going!
WATCHING:
How to Die Alone on Hulu. I’m loving this show. It’s only two episodes in but I think the concept is fresh, the main character is plus size and I have a feeling we are about to see a life glow up happen. And personally I have not seen a show based on the airport since my parents were watching the 1980s show WINGS.
For my international show watching friends, I just started La Grande Maison Tokyo on Netflix. It’s a Japanese show about a famous chef who no one wants to work with anymore and his quest to make things right. The first episode didn’t capture me but I pushed through it and I’m enjoyed watching all the Japanese cuisine. It’s surprisingly heart warming!
READING (WITH MY EARS!)
I’m almost done with Katie Couric’s biography. I’ll say it again if you haven’t heard me say it before, if you “read” a celebrity memoir, listening to them read it is the best way to go! The book has been full of fun stories (her imitation of Larry King trying to take her home made me lol) next to heart breaking chapters about loss. So far there has been one Matt Lauer chapter and I don’t know if there will be more.
I’m also reading Diamond Eye by Katie Quinn. I’m half way through this one and still waiting for it to pick up. The story lacks the thrill of some of the author’s other books that I loved, like The Alice Network, The Huntress and The Rose Code.
NEXT UP:
Just for the Summer and Sleep Tight. Anyone read?
This is my grandma’s recipe card! Obsessed.
COOKING UP…
I’m making an Apple Cake this week using my grandma’s recipe notecard. Anyone else have a favorite version of this classic?
MOVING WITH…
I’m doing Bala Ring Weight workouts on YouTube (I literally just search and then try one) while Emily In Paris is on in the background.
ON MY BOD…
I’m in Maine this week and this Lingua Franca Voting sweatshirt hasn’t really come off. Voting IS in style!
That’s all for now!
xo

I remember watching WINGS. As an adult. I’m old.😜
