If you ask me what I am most proud of, you might expect me to say solving thigh chafe…or being a published author…
I mean, yes, I am super proud of those things, but if you want me to toot my own horn, just ask me about my days as a dogager and I will not shut up.
For those that were not deep into the famous dogs of the aughts, allow me to give you a quick background.
My dog Toast, a ruby rescue cavalier with no teeth, a long protruding tongue and a personality made for Hollywood, was one of the most famous dogs in the Instagram game at the time. She kind of made the game if I am being honest here. See? I told you I am not shy about that success. Tuna, Toast, Boo…the OGs. Toast got married on RHONY, she has a coffee table book and she was even a model for the Karen Walker sunglass campaign. But the real joy I got out of it was being able to work with her. I had so much fun shooting the content and coming up with campaign ideas for brands and I miss that.
So when Ollie approached me about a campaign this year, I was thrilled. First of all, my dog sitter this summer told me that Ruth and Moogi needed a major food upgrade. While staying with her she topped their dry food with human grade food from Ollie and I was amazed just that little change showed small but noticeable differences. Shiny coat, beautiful doodies. I made a note to order some for them to keep it going but you know, life. The pups went back to their high quality snoozy kibble and I forgave myself for their dull coats. So obviously, I accepted this campaign and couldn't wait to get them started on the food and to work with these two pups.
Now, as I mentioned above, working with Toast was special, she was a star. She posed. She stayed. She winked. I swear. But Ruth and Moogli were not ready for their close up. I had elaborate dreams of staging a breakfast between the two pups at our dining table. It took me seconds to realize that I was working with amateurs and that I needed to pivot the script to accommodate unprofessional actors. So we pivoted to just showing how much these two love the food, because that was easy to show. Meals like Chicken and Carrots or Turkey and Blueberries mean that I don't even have to tell them to come and eat. They are standing by my feet already waiting with eyes bulging out of their faces. We have also tried their jerky treats which Moogli goes nuts for! Bonus for everyone reading: Ollie is offering a free bag of these jerky treats in addition to the offer below until 3/21!
One thing I personally love about Ollie is that they give you easy packages, so you do not have to touch the food with your hands(a pet peeve of mine). You just use the scoop to serve and fluff right out of the puptainer, the food stays put and not on your counter or on your fridge shelf.
Ollie gave me an amazing deal to pass on to you, you can use KATIE60 for 60% off your first box of Ollie! That is a good deal!!
I hope you like it as much as we do. Moogli and Ruth might not be Hollywood ready but I am glad that their coats are shiny as hell!
Look how much they love it:
A few more throwbacks while we are here…

Omg that kitchen pic at the end—I worked at Apartment Therapy back then and I remember everyone saying how Toast was coming in for a photo shoot! What a throwback 💜💜
