JK, my big shoe guide for ALL sizes.

Good afternoon Megababes- class is in session and today’s subject is SHOES for this summer.

Have shoes gotten smaller? Have my feet gotten bigger? Maybe both?! Which is why when the “ugly shoe” trend entered the chat several years ago, I got on board and never looked back…until you guys started asking me for summer sandal recs and I realized that my closet is full of Birkenstocks. Nothing wrong with Birks, I live in them, but I realized I needed to hit the market. Especially after seeing Elizabeth Tamkin’s Substack showcasing all the trending shoes for summer. While I wasn’t able to to find great styles in my size in every trend (jelly shoes I’m looking at you) I was thrilled to see how many options there were for me!

For size reference, I have a wide foot that is prob more of an 11.5 but I live in size 12 Wides, some size 12/13 and then 10.5/11 men’s…find anything you like?

Over the years I have found myself investing in shoes and bags- when I couldn’t always find my size in the brand, I could usually source an accessory. Even if that means shopping the men’s department!

I didn’t know what a Fisherman’s sandal was until I started shopping for shoes for this story and every third word was Fisherman sandal. Cute and comfy tho!

It took me a while to get on the chunky sole trend bc I had nightmares of Roxy slides from my youth in my head but I found a pair of Prada mens shoes on the real real that got me into the concept of a fun platform with a short skirt!
