Here we go with Katie’s Kontent! I traveled to Palm Springs this week to speak at the Inc 5000 conference, so I had some time to dig into some new things on that long cross country flight.

Also, I wanted to share that I spoke to People last week about the body acceptance/positivity movement. Here’s a tidbit: "We have taken one step forward and 12 steps back when it comes to body image work in the media and on social. The conversation was going in an amazing direction and then it took a hard left turn…but that is why people need to be reminded that no matter where you are in your journey, you're okay.”

From Here to the Great Unknown: This is Lisa Marie Presley’s memoir and I loved it. The Michael Jackson part is fascinating. The whole thing is good though. Highly rec!

WATCHING:

Coming to Africa (Prime): Just started this older show about families moving to Africa from America. One episode in, join me?

Nobody Wants This (Netflix): I admit, I couldn’t watch it for a few weeks with all the hype. Sometimes I get anti mainstream! But I watched one episode and then I was like…fiiiiiiine I’m hooked. And I want everything from Favorite Daughter. Fun fact, I didn’t watch The OC so I have no nostalgia about Adam Brody. Just a fresh crush on a young rabbi. How do I get Butt Stuff to the Foster sisters?! They mentioned hemorrhoids on a podcast a while back and I am dying to send!!!

Enviousa (Netflix): Just finished this and obsessed.

STILL WATCHING:

How to Die Alone (Hulu) and it’s still great. 

RHONY: I just finished the second episode and so far the season is kind of mid! What do you think? Did you read my essay about my experience with reality TV?

SHOPPING FOR:

I’m currently on a journey to find a new travel tote. I’m carrying one right now I love but it’s too big and I need a shoulder strap. Testing this one by Parker Thatch currently! Does anyone have any recs?
