Raise Your Hand If You've Been Personally Victimized by Jacob Elordi.
A comprehensive movie list for when you're watching with family.
I’ll just come right out and say it: I’m not a prude. And I believe in having a sex positive attitude in life, but even I draw the line. And last year, let me tell you: JACOB ELORDI snuck up on so many family movie nights. Jacob, I love you as much as the next girl, but I figured it was time to have a go-to list of movies that may be more family friendly for watching when you are sharing the couch with your parents.
So if you’re like me and are always looking for something you can watch with the adult family together, here are 8 films to watch that won’t make you want to crawl out of your skin next to Aunt Nora.
Family Movie Night: The List:
The Young Woman and the Sea: This is an inspiring and entertaining movie that will make you want to take a hot bath immediately AND feel grateful for how far women in sports have come. It’s directed by my friend’s husband and it’s such a good holiday watch with the family!
Thelma: This movie starts off feeling like it’s going to be a sad movie (and there ARE a few moments like that!) but for the most part you are just rooting for Thelma and vibing the multi generational connection she has with her adult grandson.
Life of Pi: this is not new, but it’s magical and beautiful and makes you want to hug your family.
The Hundred Foot Journey: Helen Mirren, lots of chef sequences, France…this is such a sweet movie and I have watched it a few times with family.
Finding Neverland: I mean, if you are looking for a side of tears with your magical movie, this is the one for you. Fans of Peter Pan will love.
The Lunch Box: this movie is so charming and I loved the peak into a different culture. I’ve seen it 6 times!
Le Grande Maison Tokyo: this is a series…and it’s Japanese BUT if you like cooking shows and charm, it’s great. Push through the first episode and you will be happy you did!!
Meditation Park: This is an empowering film about finding yourself at any age.
What did I miss?

Thelma was so good! It was the first adultish movie I saw in a theater with my teenage son -- and we both enjoyed it. Up until Thelma, it had been mostly animated movies. Now we know we can do more! Yay! Thank you for the list!
Now can you post the list of hot movies with Jacob Elordi?! 😂
